Right worshipfull & my full trusty, enterley beloued gossep, after all
herty recomendations as I can thinke, I pray you hartely to be good & tender
master and lord to Thomas Hirst, my full speciall freind, in such matters as
he hath to labor vnto you; & ?e more tender at this my poore prayer &
instaunce, & for the loue of my godson, to whom I besech almyghty God to give
good grace to encrease in vertue; and you, with my lades, your mother2
& your wyfe, my comedre, to preserve in worship & favor vnto his pleasure &
harts ease. From Kyrkestall in haste, vpon Munday next before St Luke Day,
evangelest.
