60 The Cellarer of Newburgh to Sir Robert Plumpton (No. 61, p. 36)
Right worshipfull Sir & my especiall good master, I commend me to
you, thanking you much for my veneson, for it did me great stead. I
beseach God to encrease your veneson. Sir, there is certaine money
owing to me in Follifait,1 the which I besech you þat it wold please you
to comannd them to pay it to the bringer of this byll, my servant; he
shall shew you which they be þat owe the money. As touching the
tenement in Pannall,2 I let it to John Wilson, to the behalfe of another
man, and the sayd John was his suertie the farm should be content; &
I caused my servant [p. 37] to aske farme of this Wylson, and he sayd
that they had discharged (him), that he should not occupie it, for they
wold put in a tenant at your pleasure. Sir, if so be that he discharged
him, suppose it will please you pat I be content þe ferm, or els remyt
it to the sayd Wilson. It is run two yeares to the sume of 2 iiijs. As
touching the matters he hard at the syse, I caused some to be thyn at
this tyme, as God knowes, who preserue you euermore to his pleasure.Your awne beadman Cellarer of Newburgha
