Vncle Plompton, I comend me unto you. And where I should haue bene with
you tomorow at Selbie, in good fayth it is so ?at I was yesterday so crased
and sicke ?at I kept my bedd all day, and this day I am not of power to goe,
nor ride as yet. And also there is with me my vncle Ward,1 Thomas
Lawrance,2 Ralfe Nevell,3 & others; but ?at
notwithstanding, if I had my health I should be with you. And if ye cannot
conclud tomorow, appoynt a new day, & I shalbe glad to be with you, with the
grace of Jesu, who euermore keepe you. Scribled at Gaukthorp, this Fryday, in
hast.
