LETTER XXIII.
To my right worshipfull Cousin, Sir Robart Plompton, kt.
Right Worshipfull Cousin, I recomend me unto you, and
whereas I late wrote to you for one Skaggell a to have come to
me, for a matter of causes betwixt him and certayn other, with
myne officer, Thomas of Pomfret; wherin I understand by such
and answer as I had from you since, that he will not be advertysed
by you theirn. Cousin, I eftesones will desire and pray to advise
him to come, for and he will not, I intend to shew his obstynance
to the King and his counsell, which if I so doe, I thinke it will not
be for his ease. And also I intend, when I can finde a conve-
nient tyme and place, to attach him, if he thus contynew in his
sayd obstynance.
