139 Robert Eyre III1 to Sir Robert Plumpton [15 October 1499] (No. 107,
p. 64)Right worshipfull brother, I recomend me vnto you & to my lady, &
also to my daughter2 & yours, with all my other yong cousins, desiryng
hartely to here of your welfaire & theres both, which I besech Jesu
preserve vnto his pleasure & your harts comforth, ever thanking you &
my lady, both, of þe great worshipe & gud chere þat I & my frinds
had at my last beyng with you. Brother, it is so þat your farward,
Christopher Law, is departed of this word & hath left behind him a
wyfe & vij smale children; wherfor I hartely pray you to be gud master
vnto hir, so þat she might haue hir farme, & the rather for my prayer; &
if it please you, when your servants come over into this country, þat
they will haue my mynd in the letting of the sayd house; & I trust to
take such wayes therin as shalbe for your worship & profit both, as
Jesu knoweth, who ever preserue you. At Padley, the Tewsday next

To my right worshipfull brother. Sir Robart Plompton, kt. this
byll be deliveredRight worshipfull brother, I recomend me unto you, and to my
