Worshipfull vncle, I recomend me to you as hartely as I can thinke;
and wher yt is ?at my servant, John Tomlynson,2 hath taken a
farmehold
of ?e abut of Fountayns, after the desseyse of the tenant ?at dwelleth
theron, which the abott wyll record the taking; & yt is so ?at the sone
of <him>, the foresayd tenaunt, clameth the farmehold after his father
dysseys, & he neuer toylke ?e sayd farmehold of ?e abott, nor of none
other man, but my sayd servant, John Tomlyson. Wher it is so, vncle,
at the matter betwyxt my servant & John Forest is put to iiij men and
the owmpreght3 of you. Yt is so, vncle, ?at I shold have bene with
you
?e same day, butt ?at I had letting & busynes, but I besech you be gud
master to my servant as my specyall trust is in you, & at such a way
may be taken to right, & well to my servant; & I besech you giue
credence to the berer.
