Re-settlement by the grantees [named in no. 35] to William Plompton, kt, of their manor of Plumpton in Yorks with its appurtenances, together with the advowson or nomination of a chantry of the Holy Trinity within the collegiate church of Ripon, also all other their lands and tenements, rents, reversions and services with all and singular their appurtenances in Plumpton (except a pasture with a house built thereon called Rudfarlington)1 for the term of his life, so that after William’s death the premises (except those excepted) may pass to Robert Plompton, junior, his son, and Joan wife of the aforesaid William and to the legitimate heirs of Robert. Remainder, in case of lack of such heirs, to the right heirs of William in perpetuity, holding of the chief lords of that fee [etc.].
Appointment by the grantors of Robert Plompton, senior, as their attorney with full powers to enter the premises (except those excepted) and in their name to deliver [etc.].2
