[c.1486] (No. 165, p. 107)Reverend & my right trusty good master, due reuerence done, know
ye I am at your comandment with prayer for you, my gode lady your
wyfe, & mother, & your children. My lord1 faryth well & recomends
him vnto you, with harty thanks of your good & fast love, which he
entendeth to content your mynd for. Sir, yt is so pat Sir Alexander2
hat a dedimus potestatem3 dyrect to thabot of St Mary in York,4 Sir
Richard Tunstall5 & Sir John Hart,6 for þe which matter my lord hath
wrytten to thabot & Sir John Hart in recomendation of Sir Alexander.
Wherfore, when expedient tyme shalbe apoynted, my lord wilbe glad &
well content pat ye se the deling, and as ye vnderstand þat it will lest
you, certyfie me by your wryting derected to me; & thus almyghty God

LETTER XIII.
To my right worshipfull master, Sir Robart Plompton, Kt.
