167 German de la Pole to Sir Robert Plumpton, 8 November [1502] (No.
99, p. 58)[p. 59] Right worshipfull father, in the most humble & lowly wyse þat
I can or may, desiryng to here of your prosperous health, worship and
welfaire, which I hartely besech almighty Jesus encrease & contynew,
to his pleasure & your most comforth. Father, I am very desirous to
here from you & to know how you doe in your matters. I can noe
more doe therin, but hartely pray to God to helpe you in your right, &
send you gud speede. And I pray you let my wyfe haue some word
from you, by this next carryer, how you doe in your sayd matters; &
[she and] my sister Ellynor hartely recomend them vnto you, & pray
you of your dayly blessing; & both they & I pray you þat we may be
recommended vnto my brother William Plompton & all your folkes,
and we rehearsed them by name. And thus the Holy Ghost guid you &
all the matters þat you labor about. Scribled in hast the viij day of
November. Father, I can not yet tell whether I come to London my
selfe on this side of Christenmas or not, my servent, the brynger herof,
shall shew as sone as he hath the certenty, whether I shall come or be

To his right worshipfull father, Sir Robart Plompton, kt.
deliver thes.Right worshipfull father, in the most humble and lowly wyse
