Feoffment by William Plompton, kt, to John Harrington, John Tempest,
Brian Stapilton and John Conyers, kts, Thomas Thwaites, Richard
Banks of Newton, Thomas Garth, William Gargrave, Geoffrey Pygot,
John Vavasour of Newton, Guy Fairfax and John Fawkes of all his
manors in Yorks, Derbyshire, Notts and Staffs. Condition: that they
enfeoff within 5 years, Robert Plompton, son and heir of Sir William,
and Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas, Lord de Clifford and Westmorland,
kt, to hold to them and to the heirs of their bodies, with right of re-
entry reserved to Sir William in case of lack of issue.

Witnesses: Robert Roos, Roger Ward, Richard Vernon, Henry Parpont,
Thomas Chaworth, Gervase Clifton, kts, Richard Hamerton, John
Curson, William Babyngton, and others.
