Feoffment by William Plompton, kt, to John Harrington, kt, William Gargrave, Thomas Garth, John Garth and John Elys, clerk, of the manors of Darley, Stanton, Pilsley, Wormhill, Chaddesden and Spondon, with appurtenances in Derbyshire, together with lands and hereditaments there and in Edensor, Wardlow, Bakewell, Martinside, Wheston, Tideswell, Hurdlow, Chelmorton, Flagfield and Castleton, with the exception of a chantry in the church of Bakewell and two closes named ‘Bussenhay’ or Combes and Betfield. Condition: that within five years they shall enfeoff Robert Plompton, son and heir of Sir William, and Elizabeth daughter of Thomas, Lord de Clifford and Westmorland, kt, in the same, to hold to them and to the heirs of their bodies, with remainder, in case of lack of issue, to the right heirs of Sir William.
