91 Edward Plumpton to Sir Robert Plumpton, 23 September [1490] (No.
186, p. 122)In my most humble wyse I recomend me vnto your good mastership
[and] to my especyall good ladys. This day I haue spoken with Master
Schereff,1 &, Sir, I send Master Blakwall,2 master of þe chancery, as
the berer can shew to you more by mouth, & they both comend them
to you. Master Schereffe hath & wyll doe as much in your matters as
I can of reason desire him. At Nothingham vppon Munday come a
senit must we fynda a office for you. I haue bene with Thomas Horston,
by þe advice of Master Schereffe, & pennyt ij inquisicions of diuerse
ways: if one will not serue vs, the other shall. Sir [. . .]b ye [. . .]c <have>
a simple tenant in Maunsfeld Woodhouse.3 I wold haue sent him to
Rich. Saxton for to mete with me at Master Schereffs, & he absent
him. Any service ye wyll comannd me, send me word, & I am yours,
as knoweth our Lord, who preserve you. Wrytten at Southwell, þe xxiij

LETTER LXX.
To my master Sir Robart Plompton, knyght.
In my most humble wyse I recomend me unto your good mas-
