[1503/4] (No. 84, p. 47)Ryght worshipfull Sir, in my most hartie wyse I recomend me vnto
you, euermore <desiring> to here of your prosperitie & wellfaire, &
good sped in your matters, shewing you pat I and all your children is
in good health, blessed be Jhesu, and prays you for your blessing. Sir,
it is so now ?at I haue mayd you thewsans of the money ?at ye sent
to me for, & I haue sent it you with John Walker at this tyme, the
which I shall shew you how I haue mayd schift of at your comminge; &
I pray you that ye be not miscontent that I sent it no sooner, for I
haue made the hast that I could that was possible for me to do; & also,
Sir, I will not lett Thomas Croft wife plow nor occupy her fermeald,
but saith she <shall> not occupy without yer life;1 & also I pray you
to send me word how you speed in your matters againe, as soone as
ye may;2 & also to send me word where ye will your horses to come
to you. No more at this time, but the Trinity keep you. From Plumpton,
in hast, the xixth day of March.By your wife Dame Agnes Plomptona

1 On 20 April 1503 Sir William Conyers, sheriff of Yorks, directed a writ of capias to
Thomas Spinke, bailiff of Claro, against a number of husbandmen, yeomen and others
at the suit of William Plumpton, on a plea of trespass, CB, 820.2 On 16 July 1503 the king directed a precept from Collyweston to Sir Christopher
Warde and Sir William Calverley to the effect that William, ?son and heir of Sir Robert
Plumpton, peaceably inioy the lordships of Plumpton and Idle and the rents &c?,
