Charter of William Plompton, kt, granting to Brian Rocliffe, 3rd baron of the Exchequer, Richard Hamerton, George Durell, kts, Guy Fairfax, sergeant-at-law, Richard Pygot, sergeant-at-law, Henry Sotehill, Thomas Beckwith, Stephen Hammerton, esqrs, Lawrence Kighley and Godfrey Grene his manors of Plumpton, Grassington, Steeton, Idle and Studley Roger and all other manors, lands, tenements, rents, reversions and services, together with military fees, advowsons and presentations to churches, chantries and other benefices, with all and singular their appurtenances, profits and commodities in Yorks and the city of York. To hold in perpetuity of the chief lords of those fees, by the service thence owed and accustomed by right. Warranty. Appointing Roger Jaceson and Thomas Billop, Stephen Croft, Richard Fou . . . ch, Roger Faukene and Thomas Croft his attorneys jointly and severally in his name to deliver full and peaceful seisin of and in the premises to the above-named feoffees, in accordance with the form and effect of this charter.
